Prof. Dr. Evgeny V. Alekseev Visits HFU

    Prof. Dr. Evgeny V. Alekseev, Group Leader of "Solid State Chemistry of Actinides", Institute of Nuclear Waste Management and Reactor Safety (IEK-6), Juelich Research Centre(Germany) and professor at Faculty of Geo-resources and Materials Engineering, RWTH Aachen University, visits our school on November 15.

     HFU president Prof. Wang Qidong meets him, who briefly introduces HFU’s history, orientation, teaching reform as well as her Sino-German cooperation. Prof. Dr. Evgeny V. Alekseev sings highly of HFU’s school-running pattern and achievements, suggesting to carry out cooperation in the post-graduate training, teacher-student exchange and so on. President Wang Qidong entitles Prof. Dr. Evgeny V. Alekseev “Visiting Professor”, hoping to further the mutual cooperation in related fields as well.

    On November 16, Prof. Dr. Evgeny V. Alekseev gives a lecture on “Multiscale Approach in Actinides Solid State Chemistry” to the teachers and students from the Department of Chemical Engineering.

    From 2005 to 2011, Prof. Dr. Evgeny V. Alekseev worked as a post doctor at Keil University(Germany) as well as a visiting scholar at the university of Notre Dame(United State). Afterwards, he has been working in the Institute of Nuclear Waste Management and Reactor Safety (IEK-6) since 2011 as well as a professor  at Faculty of Geo-resources and Materials Engineering, RWTH Aachen University since 2012. Known as the “European MIT ”, RWTH Aachen University was founded in 1870, one of Germany’s famous universities of science and technology.
