On June 5th, Professor Rolf H. Moehring, a famous operations research expert, visits HFU, who makes an academic report entitled “Dynamic Network Routing---Meeting the challenge of complex and traffic and transportation tasks” on June 6th.
Professor Moehring is an internationally renowned expert in combination and traffic optimization, excelling in mathematics, transportation, operations and scheduling research. He used to be president of the German Society of Mathematics, Economics and Operations Research, Director of the Department of Mathematics and Institute of Mathematics in Technical University of Berlin, who won the “science prize” of German Operations Research Society in 2005, and the gold medal of European Operations Research Society in 2010. From 2004 to 2007, he was president of the International Operations Research Society and Mathematics Planning Society. More than 120 of his papers have been published in international academic periodicals.
Cai Jingmin, Chair of HFU Council, meets with Professor Moehring on June 7th, who initially agree to build jointly a major traffic data center and further the cooperation in the field of operations research.
