On August 25, Zwander, Social Democratic Party Secretary-General of the Lower Austria State(Austria), and his delegation visited Hefei University(HFU). Wu Pingchuan, Chair of the University Council, met with the delegation.
Wu Pingchuan extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced Hefei City and Hefei university. He stated, the visit of Zwander’s delegation will mark a new breakthrough in the exchange and cooperation between the two sides; although China and Austria differ in cultural environments and others, they share the same aspirations in the field of education and school-running; the two sides may conduct in-depth exchanges on scientific research cooperation in such fields as waste recycling and reuse, and green chemical engineering, as well as the Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. Zwander expressed in his speech, there is still considerable scope for future exchanges between the two sides in the field of school-running, so he hoped, the two sides would establish a sound cooperative relationship, and enhance capabilities in international school-running for mutual development.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the exhibition showcasing the Sino-German Collaborative Development of HFU.
