On December 2nd, a delegation from University of Wollongong (UOW), Australia visited Hefei university.
Wu Pingchuan, Chair of HFU Council, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced HFU’s profile. He noted that the visit was the first inter-university exchange following Hefei University’s visit to UOW in May, marking a new progress in bilateral cooperation. The two universities are highly compatible in fields of materials science, engineering, computer science, finance and accounting, with broad prospects for future collaboration.
During the meeting, faculty members from both sides held in-depth discussions on student exchange programs in Business disciplines and joint research initiatives for teachers. Students from the two universities also participated in traditional Chinese cultural activities, including Luzhou Egg Carving and Dragon-and-Lion Dance.
Founded in 1951, the University of Wollongong is a leading public comprehensive research university in Australia, with notable strengths in materials science, information technology, computer science and engineering.
