Xiang Yixuan Wins Women's Epee Gold Medal

On September 21, 25-year-old Xiang Yixuan, an HFU alumna, beats her counterparts to win the gold medal of Women's Epee Individual at the 14th National Games.

Xiang Yixuan, born in Liaoning in 1996, became an HFU student majoring in Business Administration in 2014. Selected into Liaoning Provincial Fencing Team at 14 and China’s National Fencing Team at 19, she has taken part in many competitions and won more than ten awards including the Team Champion of the Barcelona World Cup in 2017.

At this National Games, Xiang withstood the pressure and beat her counterparts including Sun Yiwen, the Women's Epee Individual champion of Tokyo Olympics and Lin Sheng, one of the team to have won the Champion of 2019 World Championships. Xiang said, “I just want to realize myself to play every game the best without thinking about anything else !”
