The 10th Sino-Germany Symposium of Applied Higher Education Held in Osnabruck

Organized by Osnabruck University of Applied Sciences, the 10thSino-Germany Symposium of Applied Higher Education kicks off in Osnabruck, Germany on November 2nd, co-sponsored by Anhui Provincial Department of Education and the State Department of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony, Germany, which focuses on entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities together with its support. A total of 117 delegates from China and Germany attend the symposium with 53 from Chinese government, universities and enterprises.

The opening ceremony is co-hosted by Professor Hendrick Lackner, Dean of Department of Economics and Society of Osnabruck University, and Professor Cai Jingmin, President of Hefei University. In the opening address, Thomas Stein, Vice president of Osnabruck University mentions their 10-year cooperation with Hefei University and points out the common problems facing universities in two countries is how to help students better adapt to the changing job market and improve their innovative and entrepreneurship ability.

In the one-day-and a-half symposium, presidents from both Chinese and German universities introduce their own universities and hold heated discussions on their measures to support entrepreneurship education.

During the past 10 years, the symposiums become a platform for experts of both countries to remark on the development of applied higher education as well as the communication between two countries.
