Dr. Mario J. Molina Gives a Lecture at HFU

On March 2nd, 2018, Professor Mario J. Molina working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Nobel Prize winner in chemistry (1995), gives a lecture on international air pollution and health at Hefei University.

Mario J. Molina, winner of the Nobel Prize in chemistry, was born in Mexico in 1943, who obtained his PhD in physical chemistry from University of California, Berkeley in 1972. In 1974, he and Sherwood Roland worked together to propose the destruction of the ozone layer by Freon. In 1995, he and Roland won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for the above achievements. Since 1989, Mario Molina has been working at MIT as an academician of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Medical Sciences as well as the Mexican Academy of Sciences.

       After the lecture, Dr. Mario J. Molina answers questions delivered by HFU students and teachers.
