Dr. Finn E. Kydland Gives a Lecture at HFU

On April 21st, FinnE.Kydland, the Nobel Economics Prize Winner(2004) visits HFU and gives a lecture on The way to the Nobel Prize.

Finn E.Kydland, a Norwegian economist, won the Nobel Prize together with Edward Prescott in 2004 for his accomplishments in dynamic macro-economics. Currently, he is a professor at Carnegie-Mellon University and the University of California(Santa Barbara), and an associate researcher at the Duras and the Cleveland Reserve Bank. His research mainly focuses on business cycling term, currency, fiscal policy and labor economics.

Dr. Cai Jingmin, Chair of HFU Council, and Dr. Wang Qidong,president of HFU entitled him HFU Honorary Professor. Professor Kydland says the distinctive characteristics and development potential of HFU impresses him much and he expects to cooperate with HFU in the future.

After the lecture, Professor Kydland exchanged opinions with HFU teachers especially on economics.
